Statins and CoQ10. Metformin and B12. PPIs and magnesium. Birth control and folate. These are not fringe interactions — they are well documented, well known in pharmacy, and almost never discussed at the point of dispensing.

The patient walks out with a bag and a copay, and no one mentions that the medicine they're now committed to for years is quietly emptying a specific nutrient tank. Fatigue creeps in. Muscles ache. Mood dips. And it gets chalked up to "getting older."

The fix is simple: know what your prescriptions deplete, replace what they take, and talk to your pharmacist about it.
